경기문화재단에서는 현대미술의 중심인 미국 뉴욕 ISCP와 LA 18번가 레지던시 기관과의 협약하에 경기도 작가들을 지원해오고 있습니다, 경기도미술관에서 개최하는 이번 귀국보고전시는 레지던시 프로그램에 참여한 작가들의 현지 체류기간 동안 진행한 작업을 소개하는 전시로서 <에필로그/경계에서다>전은 2011년 12월 5일 부터 2012년 1월 24일 까지 무료로 관람하실수 있습니다.
The artists featured in this exhibition, all five of them from Korea's Gyeonggi Province, share the experience of artist residencies in the United States.
Five artists were selected for the program in 2010 and 2011, and spent the time at the International Studio & Curatorial Program(ISCP) in New York, the 18th Street Arts Center's International Visiting Artist Program in Los Angeles, and other re...sidencies. It was an opportunity for them to experience rapidly changing international artists trends and examine new possibiities for Korean contemporary art on the International art scene.
Through the works on display, this show highlights the progressive artistic styles of Gyeonggi's yound artists, along with the potential they present as cultural intermediates who stand on the margin, paving the way for communication between the domestic and international art worlds.
